The "Architectural Machine" and "Function"

The way that architects think about architecture is changing and evolving. We find ourselves thinking more about the functionality of a structure than the final aesthetic when designing. In the society we live in today, we are obsessed with convenience and we take advantage as much as we can of the newest technology that is most accessible to us. It is because of this that if there is a more efficient, faster and easier way to do something then architects should be finding any way to adopt the concepts into architectural design and improve the spaces that we live and move around in. With society focusing on optimal efficiency of spaces and objects, we as architects begin to leave behind the days of achieving harmony in spaces. With function in mind, we are exploring interactive architecture, and broadening our perception of what is possible to create through the virtual world.
